So the Legislation to raise the legal age of sexual consent in Canada from 14 to 16 has been passed. There was no reason for this legislation to be passed. This legislation is in direct violation of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and as such it must be challenged. I have always courted/dated and engaged in sexual relations with boys as young as 14 years old and I have every intention of continuing to do so. I will not permit this legislation to affect me and am prepared to defend my position at any time. The sooner this is challenged and a precedent is set the better off all Canadians will be. If I had been present in 1890 - the last time the legal age of sexual consent in Canada was raised - I'm sure I wouldn't have sat by without protest.
